Ledaig Castaway

Ledaig Castaway is an extraordinary, limited-edition peated single malt Scotch whisky from Tobermory Distillery that pushes the boundaries of traditional maturation. Crafted on the Isle of Mull, this bold release is completely devoid of ex-bourbon casks; instead, the heavily peated Ledaig spirit is uniquely matured in a rare combination of Caribbean rum and Mexican tequila casks. Bottled at a robust 61.1% ABV with natural color and without chill filtration, it perfectly marries the rugged, maritime smoke of the Hebrides with vibrant, exotic sweetness. Food Pairing: The intense coastal peat and tropical sweetness of this whisky pair beautifully with spicy fish tacos, jerk chicken, grilled pineapple, and rich dark chocolate. It also complements sharp, aged cheddars or salty blue cheeses to contrast its earthy agave notes.
