Ornellaia Le Volte dell'Ornellaia 2019 is an exceptionally vibrant, elegant, and beautifully balanced Super Tuscan red wine that offers a highly approachable and expressive entry into the world-renowned winemaking philosophy of the Tenuta dell'Ornellaia estate. Sourced from choice vineyards along the sun-drenched Tuscan coast near Bolgheri, this wine reflects the ideal growing conditions of the legendary 2019 vintage, which brought exceptional fruit purity and structural harmony. A blend of Merlot, Sangiovese, and Cabernet Sauvignon, each variety was fermented separately in small steel vats to preserve its primary regional characteristics before undergoing malolactic fermentation. The wine was aged for 10 months in a combination of concrete tanks and seasoned French oak barriques previously used for the estate's flagship bottling. In the glass, it presents a bright, concentrated ruby-red color. The nose is highly complex, displaying fragrant aromas of ripe red berries, wild strawberries, and fresh red cherries, beautifully laced with notes of rose petals, Mediterranean scrub, sweet spices, and subtle chocolate. On the palate, this medium-to-full-bodied red is remarkably smooth and supple, integrating soft, velvety tannins with a lively line of food-friendly acidity that carries into a long, clean, and savory finish filled with spice and primary fruit.
