About the Chateau Haut Brion Le Clarence de Haut Brion 2021
A refined Pessac Leognan with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, graphite, violet, and cedar. Medium to full-bodied with polished tannins and vibrant acidity, it delivers layered dark fruit and mineral complexity, finishing long, fresh, and exceptionally balanced with impressive elegance.
Food Pairing: Pairs best with roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck, wild mushrooms, and aged hard cheeses.
98 Points - Wine Enthusiast
Woodland fruits with a backdrop of black-pepper spices set the scene for the second-label wine of Haut-Brion. It is powerful, with some firm tannins and integrated acidity. Drink this fine wine from 2027.
94 Points - James Suckling
This is deep for a 2021, with blackberries, walnuts, chocolate and hazelnuts. Very subtle. Medium body, with an appealingly creamy center palate. Beautiful now but will improve with age.
