 The 2022 Le Blanc d’Aiguilhe is a brilliant dry white Bordeaux that defies the expectations of its right-bank terroir. It presents a bright pale-yellow colour and opens with an expressive nose of white peach, zesty grapefruit, and lime blossom, accented by delicate notes of wet stone and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and impeccably balanced; the natural richness and unctuous texture of the Sauvignon Blanc are kept in check by a piercing, saline acidity and a distinct mineral tension. Aged on its lees in a mix of demi-muids and wooden vats, it offers a sophisticated structure and a long, energetic finish with lingering citrus and floral nuances.
