About the Laws Bottled in Bond Centennial Straight Wheat Whiskey
Laws Bottled in Bond Centennial Straight Wheat Whiskey is a Colorado whiskey from Laws Whiskey House in Denver. Built around Centennial wheat grown in Colorado, it is aged for at least four years and bottled at the federally mandated Bottled-in-Bond strength of 100 proof (50% ABV). The wheat-forward mash gives it a softer profile while rye and barley contribute spice and malt complexity.
Food Pairing: Smoked pork, barbecue, roasted chicken, aged cheddar, pecans, apple pie and dark chocolate.
Tasting Notes: Rich and approachable with baked fruit, honey, vanilla, caramel, cinnamon and toasted grain balanced by oak and spice.
Nose: Honey, vanilla, baked apple, orange peel, cinnamon and toasted wheat.
Palate: Caramel, sweet wheat, orchard fruit, baking spices, vanilla and toasted oak.
Finish: Long and warming with cinnamon, pepper, honeyed grain and lingering oak.
Serve: Enjoy neat, with a few drops of water, over a large ice cube or in a whiskey-forward cocktail.
