Domaine Laroche 'Les Blanchots' La Reserve de L'Obedience Chablis Grand Cru

Laroche 'Les Blanchots' La Réserve de L'Obédience Chablis Grand Cru pours a brilliant pale straw-gold color with gleaming emerald and white-gold reflections in the glass. Sourced from a premier selection of the finest parcels within the steep Les Blanchots Grand Cru vineyard—defined by its unique layer of white clay sitting over deep Kimmeridgian limestone—this iconic flagship Chardonnay displays a multidimensional, aristocratic bouquet. Captivating aromas of ripe white orchard fruits, lemon oil, and fresh acacia blossoms weave intricately through an intense, complex backdrop of wet flint, crushed oyster shells, and delicate sweet wood spices from masterfully integrated lees aging. On the palate, this Grand Cru is exceptionally layered, texturally rich, and focused, achieving flawless harmony between a luxurious mid-palate and a chiseled, driving natural acidity. The finish is remarkably persistent and precise, leaving a long, mouth-watering impression of intense saline minerality and chalky depth.

Food Pairing: Pairs exquisitely with fresh raw oysters, butter-poached blue lobster, pan-seared sea scallops, or a traditional fricassee of Bresse chicken with morels.
