Laphroaig Cairdeas 2024 Cask Favourites 10 Year Old

Laphroaig Càirdeas 2024 Cask Favourites 10 Year Old is a limited-edition single malt Scotch whisky released exclusively for the Friends of Laphroaig. Crafted to celebrate the distillery’s most beloved cask types, this 10-year-old expression combines spirit aged in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels with spirit finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. Bottled at cask strength, non-chill filtered, and naturally colored, it seamlessly pairs Laphroaig's signature medicinal peat smoke and ocean brine with rich dried fruit, dark chocolate, and sweet oak warmth.

Food Pairing: Smoked brisket, oysters on the half shell, dark chocolate tarts, stilton or blue cheese, and venison stew.

Tasting Notes : Deep copper amber in appearance with a full-bodied, rich, and oily mouthfeel that delivers intense warmth and complex peat depth.

Nose : Smoldering peat smoke, medicinal iodine, damp seaweed, dark raisins, dried figs, sweet vanilla, and toasted oak.

Palate : Rich peat, sea salt, dark chocolate, caramelized brown sugar, sticky dates, black pepper spice, and subtle espresso.

Finish : Long, warming, and complex with lingering coastal smoke, dried fruit sweetness, and peppered oak tannins.

Serve : Serve neat or with a few drops of pure spring water in a Glencairn glass.
