Laphroaig 14 Year Old 'Willem Dafoe' Limited Edition

Laphroaig 14 Year Old 'Willem Dafoe' Limited Edition is an exclusive release created in direct collaboration between the iconic Islay distillery and acclaimed actor Willem Dafoe. Nicknamed "Willem by Willem," this 14-year-old single malt Scotch whisky was developed with Laphroaig's blending team and finished in Oloroso sherry casks. Bottled at a robust 53.7% ABV, it perfectly balances Laphroaig's uncompromising medicinal peat smoke and maritime sea salt with the creamy, dark-fruit sweetness imparted by the European oak sherry casks.

Food Pairing: Smoked brisket, roasted duck with cherry reduction, strong blue cheeses like Roquefort, dark chocolate truffles, or freshly shucked oysters.

Tasting Notes : Natural deep amber to mahogany in color with a full-bodied, rich, and robust mouthfeel.

Nose : Deep and powerful, immediately opening with Laphroaig's signature medicinal peat smoke, layered with rich dried fruits and toasted nuts from the sherry cask influence.

Palate : Robust and multifaceted, presenting maritime notes of sea salt and spicy accents, perfectly balanced by a subtle, creamy sweetness and dark fruit character from the Oloroso sherry casks.

Finish : Long, intense, and warming, with enduring robust campfire ash and coastal peat smoke lingering alongside gentle sweet oak spice.

Serve : Serve neat in a Glencairn glass to experience its full intensity, or add a few drops of water to open up the softer sherry fruit notes.
