About the Lagavulin Distillers Edition 2022 750ml
The Distillers Edition: Single malts with secondary storage in individually selected wine casks. After these months of maturation, the single malts are to receive even more depth, complexity and new flavor nuances.
Lagavulin: Second aging in ex Pedro Ximenz and flamed American oak casks. PX grapes are always the sweetest and leave correspondingly intense aromas.
TASTING NOTES:
Nose:
Aromas of dark oak and liquor-soaked raisins contrast with the peat notes as they are enveloped in fragrant smoke.
Taste:
full body Oily, sweet and spicy entry with a fruity, raisin-sweet smokiness full of roasted malt, followed by smoke, salt and spices.
Finish:
Dark smoky finish, wonderfully warming with a deep oaky spice and smoke.
