About the La Venenosa Sierra Volcanes de Jalisco 2025 (45.6%)
La Venenosa Sierra Volcanes de Jalisco is an artisanal Raicilla crafted by Maestro Tabernero Don Arturo Campos in the volcanic foothills of southern Jalisco. Made from cultivated Maguey Cenizo, roasted in a stone pit oven over black oak, fermented in stone pools, and double-distilled in traditional clay pot stills, it delivers a complex, mineral-rich profile with distinctive lactic and fruit notes.
Food Pairing: Charcuterie, cured meats, rich cheeses, roasted pork, or savory Mexican dishes.
Tasting Notes : Crystal clear in appearance with a soft, slightly oily, and full mouthfeel.
Nose : Fermented tropical fruit, sweet roasted agave, clay minerality, subtle yogurt, and lactic funk.
Palate : Complex blend of candied tropical fruit, peppery spice, citrus, pickle brine, and earthy clay notes.
Finish : Long, dry, and savory with lingering fruit sweetness, spice, and clay minerality.
Serve : Serve neat at room temperature in a glass tasting vessel or traditional clay copita.
