La Venenosa Puntas

La Venenosa Puntas is an ultra-rare, high-proof artisanal Raicilla crafted by Maestro Tabernero Don Gerardo Peña in the southern highlands of Jalisco. Made exclusively from the "puntas"—the highly aromatic, flavor-rich first cut of the distillation process—this spirit is produced using cooked wild Maximiliana agave, fermented in oak vats, and distilled in a hybrid tree-trunk and copper still.

Food Pairing: Rich dark chocolate, aged cheeses, grilled pork belly, roasted game meats, or mole negro.

Tasting Notes : Crystal clear with heavy, slow-moving legs and a dense, viscous, and warming mouthfeel.

Nose : Intense tropical fruit, ripe mango, papaya, bright floral notes, sweet roasted agave, and subtle pine needle.

Palate : High-proof explosion of flavor featuring juicy tropical fruits, citrus peel, sweet cooked agave, subtle white pepper, and light earthy smoke.

Finish : Exceptionally long, warm, and lingering with sweet fruit notes, gentle agave spice, and clean minerality.

Serve : Serve neat at room temperature in a glass tasting vessel or traditional copita, allowed to breathe.
