About the La Venenosa Etnica Tutsi
La Venenosa Etnica Tutsi (pronounced "Too-chee") is an extraordinarily rare, ancestral agave spirit produced by Maestro Tabernero Don Rafael Carrillo Pizano in collaboration with the indigenous Wixárika (Huichol) community. Hand-milled with machetes, fermented in natural stone pools, and single-distilled in hollowed tree-trunk stills, it represents a centuries-old tradition that produces only a tiny amount each year.
Food Pairing: Fresh goat cheese, roasted lamb, wild mushroom dishes, sea salt-crusted fish, or dark chocolate.
Tasting Notes : Slightly hazy and clear in appearance with a light, delicate, and unique mouthfeel.
Nose : Fresh pine needles, bright herbal notes, olive brine, jalapeño pepper, and earthy tree sap.
Palate : Complex and vegetal with notes of wild pine, green herbs, fresh citrus, soft smoke, and subtle minerality.
Finish : Long and dry with lingering notes of fresh pine, cracked pepper, and a light menthol undertone.
Serve : Serve neat at room temperature in a small glass or clay copita to savor its unique aromatics.
