Sourced from mature vines averaging 40 years of age planted in the calcareous marl soils of Castagnole Lanze and Costigliole d'Asti, this wine undergoes fermentation in roto-fermenters before aging for 12 months in a combination of new and used French oak barriques. It pours an intense ruby-red color with purple reflections.
