La Joya Reposado

Crafted in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, at Destiladora de Altos de Jalisco (Rancho La Joya), La Joya Reposado is a well-balanced 100% Weber Blue Agave spirit highlighting harmonic oak integration. Harvested from mature estate-grown agave in Arandas, the piñas are cooked in traditional masonry brick ovens, crushed in roller mills, and fermented using natural airborne yeasts. Double-distilled in small copper pot stills, the spirit rests in white oak barrels for several months. This aging period softens the highland agave's natural brightness, imparting warm vanilla, oak spice, and light caramel notes while retaining a vibrant, cooked agave core.

Food Pairing: Grilled chicken fajitas, slow-cooked pork carnitas, roasted poblano peppers, soft aged cheeses, churros with caramel, or fish tacos with chipotle mayo.

Tasting Notes: Bright straw gold in appearance with brilliant clarity, a smooth medium body, and slow, delicate tears.

Nose: Warm and inviting, opening with sweet caramelized agave, soft vanilla bean, and toasted oak, accompanied by hints of light honey, subtle orange peel, and gentle baking spice.

Palate: Smooth, round, and approachable on the palate, featuring sweet roasted agave nectar and light butterscotch upfront before unfolding into layers of toasted oak tannins, subtle cinnamon, and gentle black pepper.

Finish: Medium-long, clean, and smooth with lingering notes of gentle oak spice, sweet vanilla, and a soft agave warmth.

Serve: Enjoy neat in a Glencairn or Riedel Tequila glass, over a single large ice sphere, or as an elevated foundation for a Reposado Old Fashioned, Paloma, or Mexican Mule.
