Kujira 31 Year Old Single Grain Ryukyu Whisky

Kujira 31 Year Old is an extremely limited single grain Ryukyu whisky from Okinawa, Japan. It is distilled from 100% Indica rice using Okinawan black koji, matured for more than 30 years in selected Sherry, Bourbon and White Oak casks, then finished for one year in first-fill Oloroso Sherry casks. Only 999 bottles were released globally. 

Food Pairing: Pairs well with dark chocolate, dried figs, dates, roasted nuts, aged cheese, fruitcake and rich caramel desserts.

Tasting Notes: Rich and complex with dried fruit, caramel, toasted oak, tropical herbs and mature spice.

Nose: Dried fruits, caramel, oak spices and hints of tropical botanicals. 

Palate: Rich dried fruit, toasted oak, caramel pudding and subtle tropical herbs. 

Finish: Smooth, elegant and long with lingering toffee and fruit. 

Serve: Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water.
