Kopke Vintage Porto 2016

A phenomenal single-vintage Port from the highly acclaimed 2016 harvest, crafted by the world's oldest Port house. Pours an intense, deep ruby-purple hue, revealing an opulent bouquet of ripe plums, black cherries, and dark chocolate intertwined with delicate floral notes of violet and subtle warming spice. On the palate, its full-bodied structure displays incredible depth, balancing rich dark fruit layers with firm, cushioned tannins and a brilliant line of fresh acidity that carries through to a long, majestic finish.

Food Pairing: Outstanding alongside decadent dark chocolate mousses, black forest tarts, artisanal blue-veined cheeses, or slow-roasted savory meats.

This is a luscious wine. Its tannins are cushioned by the ripe plum and prune fruits. That doesn't mean it is likely to develop too quickly, but is ready to take its time, bringing out the opulent character of the wine as well as its structure. Drink from 2028.

A more open and soft vintage Port with a medium body, round tannins and a very sweet finish. Drink in 2023 and onwards.
