Kilchoman Maury Cask Matured 2026

A limited-edition single malt Scotch whisky that marks a historic first for the distillery, utilizing a full-term maturation rather than a standard finish. Aged entirely in ex-Maury fortified wine casks sourced from the Roussillon region of southern France, this expression features an incredible natural crimson red hue. The nose opens with rich aromas of figs, raisins, dates, and salted caramel laced with soft peat smoke and orange peel. The palate introduces a bolder, dark profile of pipe smoke, dark chocolate, treacle, and warming spice. The finish is exceptionally long and earthy, balancing drying oak tannins and cocoa with lingering barbecue ash and sweet dark fruits.

Food Pairing: Rich chocolate fondant, smoked duck breast with a cherry reduction, or mature blue cheeses like Roquefort.
