Kavalan Solist Madeira Cask Truth Malters Chapter #5 is an exceptionally limited single-cask Taiwanese single malt selected by Truth Malters. Distilled in 2015 and matured for five years and six months in a Madeira cask, this cask-strength release yielded just 223 bottles. Bottled at 57.8% ABV, it combines Kavalan's concentrated tropical fruit character with rich Madeira influence, delivering layers of ripe fruit, honey, toffee, nuts, warming spice and aromatic oak.

Food Pairing: Pair with roasted duck, grilled beef, glazed pork, mature cheeses, toasted almonds, dried figs, fruitcake or dark chocolate.

Tasting Notes: Rich and fruit-forward with grape, apple, melon, apricot, fig and marmalade layered with honey, toffee, vanilla, cinnamon and aromatic oak.

Nose: Fresh grape and apple open into honey and cinnamon, followed by buttery toffee, almond and vanilla with red fruit, baked fruit, tobacco leaf, sandalwood and sweet cherry.

Palate: Exceptionally creamy with melon and apricot developing into fig, marmalade and grape, accented by white pepper, cinnamon, cherry, sweet toffee and honey.

Finish: Long and juicy with persistent fruit, oak spice, cinnamon and caramelized butter.
