K Vintners M.C.K. (Motor City Kitty) Syrah 2019 is an incredibly expressive, deeply layered, and distinct New World Syrah sourced entirely from the high-elevation Boushey Oldfield Block vineyard. Fermented completely with native yeasts and utilizing whole-cluster pressing, this dark purple-hued wine bursts with complex aromatics of wild lavender, fresh black plum, and cracked white pepper, layered seamlessly with savory hints of grilled charcuterie, cold fireplace ash, and crushed seashells. On the palate, it delivers a full-bodied, highly engaging profile balancing concentrated dark fruits with firm, gripping mineral tannins and a smooth finish with a striking note of cocoa powder.

Dried roses and crushed blackberries mix with dark, mineral complexity, leaving a buzz on the palate. A clear note of cocoa powder comes through. It is concentrated and dynamic. Superb.
