About the Jean-Luc Pasquet Trésors de Famille Le Cognac d'Arlette L.70 1970 Cognac 500ml
Jean-Luc Pasquet Trésors de Famille Le Cognac d'Arlette L.70 1970 Cognac is an exceptionally mature Petite Champagne Cognac selected by Maison Jean-Luc Pasquet from the family reserves of Arlette Noblet. Distilled in 1970 from Ugni Blanc, the spirit spent approximately 20 years in barrels in a humid cellar at Lagarde-sur-le-Né before being transferred to Mainxe, where it continued its long maturation under drier cellar conditions. Bottled on August 1, 2024 at its natural strength of 44.6% ABV without additions, this limited release of 366 bottles displays remarkable concentration, mature fruit, rancio, nuts, citrus and exotic spice.
Food Pairing: Aged Comté, foie gras, dried apricots, walnut tart, dark chocolate, candied citrus, almond pastries, and roasted hazelnuts.
Tasting Notes: Deeply mature, elegant and complex, balancing concentrated dried fruit with rancio, nuts, citrus zest, pepper and exotic spice.
Nose: Dried apricot, cranberry, candied lemon and dark chocolate.
Palate: Elegant, balanced and complex with abundant fruit, mature rancio, nuts, pepper, saffron, lemon and orange zest.
Finish: Long and persistent, with mature fruit, nutty rancio, citrus peel and lingering spice.
