Domaine Jamet Cote-Rotie 2021

Domaine Jamet Côte-Rôtie 2021 is an extraordinarily pure, refined, and aromatic red wine produced by Jean-Paul, Corinne, and Loïc Jamet in the Northern Rhône Valley. Crafted predominantly from whole-cluster fermented Syrah sourced from over 25 distinct terraced parcels across the appellation, this signature cuvée undergoes long maturation in oak barrels (mostly neutral demi-muids) to highlight its classic terroir expression. In the glass, it presents a brilliant ruby hue with a fragrant bouquet of fresh raspberries, crushed violets, cedar, black pepper, and subtle olive tapenade. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, bright, and taut, framed by silky, velvety tannins and lively acidity that leads into an energetic, mineral-driven finish.

Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with roasted rack of lamb, pan-seared duck breast, venison loin, wild mushroom ragù, roasted pigeon, and aged goat cheeses.

A savory, herbaceous and spicy Côte-Rôtie in a somewhat leaner style, yet this boasts a seductive textural purity, with all elements nicely meshed. Liberally dusted in white and black pepper, while a core of red fruit merges with warm soil, olive tapenade, grilled herb, licorice root and coffee bean notes. Firm and finely structured, with good tension through the finish,
