Domaine Paul Jaboulet Aîné Parallèle 45 Rouge is a historic, vibrant, and highly reliable red wine that serves as a benchmark entry point to the Côtes du Rhône appellation. Named after the 45th parallel north which passes just kilometers from the estate's cellars, this organically and biodynamically farmed cuvée is crafted from a traditional blend of Grenache and Syrah, enhanced by minor components of Carignan and Mourvèdre. In the glass, it presents a deep garnet-red color with bright purple reflections. The nose is highly expressive and fruit-forward, bursting with aromas of ripe wild strawberry, fresh raspberry, and dark cherry seamlessly balanced by complex notes of cracked black pepper, dried lavender, and wild garrigue. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, remarkably approachable, and juicy.
