J. Henry & Sons La Flamme Reserve 5 Year Old Bourbon

J. Henry & Sons La Flamme Reserve is a Wisconsin straight bourbon made with the Henry family’s heirloom red corn. The bourbon is aged for five years before receiving an additional finish in imported French Armagnac casks, adding rich dark-fruit and brandy-influenced character to the traditional bourbon profile.

Food Pairing: Pairs well with smoked beef, roasted pork, aged cheese, maple-glazed dishes, pecans, dark chocolate and fruit desserts.

Tasting Notes: Rich and full-bodied with caramel, dark fruit, baking spice, honeyed corn, vanilla and toasted oak complemented by the fruity influence of Armagnac.

Nose: Cinnamon, golden raisin and dark fruit with caramel, vanilla, toasted oak and hints of tobacco.

Palate: Baked pear, spiced plum and dried fruit with walnut, cornbread, caramel and warming cinnamon spice.
