Imperial Gran Reserva 2018

Imperial Gran Reserva 2018 is an exceptional, elegant, and deeply structured Spanish red wine produced by the historic Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España (CVNE) in Haro, Rioja Alta. Crafted only in outstanding vintage years from old-vine vineyards, it spends 24 months in French and American oak barrels followed by extensive bottle aging. In the glass, it reveals a dark ruby color with garnet reflections. The nose is highly expressive and complex, opening with aromas of ripe black cherry, plum preserve, and dried cranberry, seamlessly layered with notes of cedar, leather, sweet tobacco, vanilla, clove, and toasted cocoa. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet remarkably silky and harmonious, offering concentrated dark fruit flavors framed by polished, fine-grained tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, refined, spicy finish.
