Imperial Gran Reserva 2014 3L Double Magnum

An iconic Gran Reserva from Rioja produced primarily from Tempranillo with Graciano and Mazuelo, sourced from estate vineyards in Rioja Alta. Extended ageing in French and American oak followed by prolonged bottle maturation creates a complex wine layered with dark fruit, cedar, tobacco, spice, and refined tannins with exceptional ageing potential.

Food Pairing: Pairs best with roast lamb, beef tenderloin, venison, Iberian ham, aged Manchego, and slow-braised meats.

An icon among classical Rioja. The grapes for this blend of 85% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano and 5% Mazuelo were fermented in small oak vats followed by malolactic fermentation in concrete and aged for two years in barrel before extended bottle ageing. There is a developed and subtle nose with hints of iodine and sweet spices. Powerful and still a little tannic, serious, austere and faithful to its character.
