Idi di Marzo Appassimento 'Atto Finale' 2022 is a monumental, extremely powerful, and deeply concentrated organic red wine blend from the Abruzzo region of Italy. Crafted by the De Cerchio family, this wine is made using the traditional appassimento method, where the grapes are left to dry on the vines until late autumn to intensely concentrate their sugars, flavors, and structural complexity. In the glass, it displays a deep, almost opaque rubi-purple color. The nose is a rich, seductive explosion of dark cassis, wild blackberries, and dried black plums, beautifully layered with notes of dark chocolate shavings, camphor, sweet baking spices, and supple leather. On the palate, it is remarkably full-bodied, thick, and velvety, offering a warm and plush mouthfeel balanced by a surprising zesty acidity and firm, well-integrated tannins. The incredibly long, dramatic finish reveals indulgent hints of rum raisins, dried figs, and wild rose hip.
