Ichiro’s Malt Wine Wood Reserve (WWR) Japanese Whisky

Ichiro’s Malt Wine Wood Reserve is a blended malt whisky created by Ichiro Akuto and Venture Whisky at Chichibu Distillery. The whisky is matured and finished in red wine casks, including French oak wine casks, giving it a rich fruit-forward character with dark chocolate, spice and oak.

Food Pairing: Pairs well with roasted duck, grilled pork, aged cheese, berry desserts, toasted nuts and dark chocolate.

Tasting Notes: Rich and fruity with red berries, orange, dark chocolate, caramel, malt, sweet spices and wine-influenced oak.

Nose: Red fruits, black cherry and blackberry with orange zest, dark chocolate, malt and subtle floral notes.

Palate: Sweet red berries and baked fruit with caramel, toasted nuts, chocolate, cinnamon and peppery spice.

Finish: Medium to long with red fruit, chocolate, oak and lingering warming spice.

Serve: Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water.
