Ichiro'S Malt & Grain Single Cask #4992 120 Proof

Ichiro’s Malt & Grain Single Cask #4992 is an Alberta-exclusive World Blended Whisky created by Ichiro Akuto. Malt and grain whiskies from Scotland, Ireland, Canada, the United States and Japan were at least 10 years old when blended with Japanese whisky, including Chichibu and Hanyu single malts. The completed blend then spent an additional 10 years maturing in Japan in a third-fill Bourbon cask, resulting in a whisky over 20 years old. It was bottled in May 2025 at 60% ABV, with only 145 bottles produced.

Food Pairing: Pairs well with grilled steak, roasted pork, aged cheese, tropical fruit desserts, banana cake and dark chocolate.

Tasting Notes: Powerful and fruit-forward with tropical fruit, sweet baking spices, cereal malt and mature Bourbon-cask character.

Nose: Rich tropical fruit with banana cake, ripe mango, sweet baking spices and cereal malt.

Palate: Ripe yellow fruit, peach compote, dried banana and papaya with layers of exotic spice and mature oak.

Finish: Exceptionally long and fruit-driven with lingering tropical sweetness, spice and oak.

Serve: Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water.
