Ichiro's Malt Double Distilleries Malt Japanese Whisky

Ichiro’s Malt Double Distilleries is a Japanese blended malt created by Ichiro Akuto, bringing together malt whiskies associated with Chichibu and the historic Hanyu Distillery. The current 46.5% expression uses Chichibu as its key malt alongside older Hanyu stocks, creating a complex combination of fruit, nuts, floral character and warming oak spice.

Food Pairing: Pairs well with grilled pork, roasted chicken, aged cheese, toasted almonds, dried fruit and dark chocolate.

Tasting Notes: Honeyed and malty with orchard fruit, nuts, vanilla, floral notes and warming wood spice.

Nose: Almond, macadamia, honey and vanilla with white flowers, jasmine and fresh orchard fruit.

Palate: Rich malt sweetness with apple, pear and stone fruit, followed by toasted nuts, oak and gentle spice.

Finish: Long and warming with stone fruit, ginger, toasted oak and lingering spice.

Serve: Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water.
