Ichiro's Malt Chichibu Single Cask 5725 Japanese Whisky 125.2 Proof

Ichiro’s Malt Chichibu Single Cask #5725 is a highly limited Japanese single malt produced at Chichibu Distillery. Distilled in 2016, it matured entirely in a Bourbon barrel in Chichibu’s dunnage-style warehouse before being bottled in 2024 at full cask strength. Only 194 bottles were produced for this Western Canada release.

Food Pairing: Pairs well with grilled beef, roasted pork, aged cheese, caramelized nuts, fruit tarts and vanilla desserts.

Tasting Notes: Rich and fruit-forward with vanilla, honey, melon, caramel, pineapple, white peach, malt and white pepper.

Nose: Vanilla, honey and caramel with fresh melon and sweet orchard-fruit character.

Palate: Pineapple and white peach followed by rich malt, caramelized sweetness and white pepper.

Finish: Long and delicate with firm malt character, sweet pastry notes and lingering spice.

Serve: Best enjoyed neat; a few drops of water can help open the whisky at its high cask strength.
