Ichiro’s Malt Chichibu II Single Malt Japanese Whisky

Ichiro’s Malt Chichibu II is the inaugural single malt release from Chichibu Distillery II, Ichiro Akuto’s second Chichibu production site, which began operations in 2019. Made entirely from malted barley and matured for approximately 4–5 years in ex-Bourbon casks, it combines Chichibu’s fruit-forward character with honeyed sweetness, malt and gentle peat smoke.

Food Pairing: Pairs well with grilled pork, smoked meats, roasted chicken, aged cheese, toasted nuts and fruit-based desserts.

Tasting Notes: Rich and fruit-forward with honey, caramel, pear, tropical fruit, vanilla, malt and gentle smoke.

Nose: Honey, caramel and vanilla with pear, pineapple and other tropical fruits, followed by subtle peat smoke.

Palate: Full-bodied and creamy with honeyed sweetness, tropical fruit, ripe pear, malt and warming spice.

Finish: Long and malty with lingering fruit, gentle spice and soft smoke.

Serve: Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water.
