House of Hazelwood The Long Marriage 56 Year Old is an exceptionally rare expression from the Gordon family's private whisky reserves, bringing together malt and grain whiskies distilled in 1966 and blended three years later. The marriage was then left to mature for more than half a century in a single refill Sherry butt, developing an extraordinary depth of character. Rich notes of candle wax, aged oak, warm spices and sweet cereal create an elegant, antique profile, while a vibrant palate and lingering sweetness reveal its remarkable maturity. Bottled at natural cask strength of 48.7% ABV, this release was limited to 288 bottles worldwide.

Food Pairing: Aged Comté, roasted walnuts, dark chocolate, traditional fruitcake, cinnamon pastries, caramelized nuts or mature cheddar.

Tasting Notes: Candle wax, polished wood, sweet cereal, star anise, cinnamon and mature oak, with a rich texture and evolving sweet-to-dry character.

Nose: Distinctive waxy aromas, antique wood, soft paraffin, mature grain sweetness and delicate spice.

Palate: Rich and mouth-coating, with warming cinnamon, star anise, sweet cereal and layered oak complexity.

Finish: Exceptionally long and evolving, moving from gentle sweetness toward refined dryness, with lingering spice and mature oak.

Serve: Best enjoyed neat in a Glencairn or tulip-shaped whisky glass at room temperature. Allow the whisky several minutes to develop its complex mature aromas before tasting.
