House of Hazelwood The Old Confectioners 44 Year Old Blended Malt Scotch Whisky

House of Hazelwood The Old Confectioner's 44 Year Old Blended Malt Scotch Whisky is an exceptionally mature expression drawn from the Gordon family's private whisky collection. After decades of maturation and extended marrying in refill Sherry butts, this rare blended malt develops a beautifully nostalgic character of rich treacle toffee, candied fruits, liquorice and polished oak. Its deep sweetness gradually gives way to leather, warming spice and a refined dryness, creating an elegant, lingering finish. Bottled at natural cask strength of 46.3% ABV, without chill filtration or added colouring, this exclusive release is limited to just 256 individually numbered bottles.

Food Pairing: Dark chocolate truffles, salted caramel, aged Gouda, roasted walnuts, sticky toffee pudding, candied orange peel or traditional fruitcake.
