High West Cask Collection Oloroso Sherry Finish

A spectacular, limited-edition release from Utah's celebrated High West Distillery that builds brilliantly upon their legacy of exceptional barrel-finished whiskeys! This expression takes a meticulously selected blend of straight bourbon and straight rye whiskeys (ranging in age from 6 to 10 years) and finishes them for an additional 11 months in freshly emptied Oloroso Sherry casks. Bottled at a robust 100 proof (50% ABV), this secondary maturation imparts an incredibly deep, rich, and dark-fruit-forward complexity to the spicy, robust whiskey blend, resulting in an elegant and deeply layered sipping experience.

NOSE

Rich and highly inviting with complex aromas of smoked blackberries, sticky dates, warm vanilla bean, fresh waffles, and a touch of herbal amaro.

PALATE

Thick, velvety, and deeply layered. Lush, dessert-like flavors of blood orange reduction, cherry compote, and caramel shortbread drizzled with dark chocolate are beautifully balanced by cinnamon bark and a hint of dry tobacco.

FINISH

Long, luxurious, and elegant with a lingering, sweet trail of spiced baked apples and creamy vanilla.
