About the Hewitson The Old Garden Mourvèdre
Sourced from the world's oldest surviving Mourvèdre vineyard (planted in 1853), Hewitson The Old Garden Mourvèdre displays profound aromas of dark blackberry, plum, gamey leather, earth, dried herbs, dark chocolate, and spicy oak. The palate is full-bodied, dense, and structured, offering velvety tannins, bright savory acidity, and an extraordinarily long, complex finish.
Food Pairing: Pair with slow-roasted lamb shoulder, game meats, venison stew, chargrilled ribeye steak, or aged hard cheeses.
