Champagne Hélène Beaugrand Le Grand Carré Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut is a precise, energetic, and terroir-driven grower Champagne crafted from 100% Chardonnay grown in Montgueux, a famous chalk hillside in the southern Champagne region. Produced by winemaker Hélène Beaugrand, "Le Grand Carré" comes from a specific old-vine parcel located at the base of the slope planted on 90-million-year-old Turonian limestone and flint soils. Fermented in stainless steel tanks with full malolactic fermentation and aged on its lees for a minimum of 36 months, it is finished with a low Extra Brut dosage of 1 g/L. In the glass, it displays a pale straw hue with a fine, persistent perlage. The nose offers vibrant aromas of lemon zest, green apple, chalky minerality, and blanched almonds. On the palate, it is taut, linear, and crisp, featuring flavors of fresh citrus, white peach, and brioche leading to a long, saline, and mouthwatering finish.
