The 2022 Red Blend Red Mountain is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 5% Syrah, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Malbec. Matured in 49% new American and French oak, it’s scented of allspice, red and black fruit, chargrilled meats and earth. The full-bodied palate is showing a lot of new-oak character, which is a shame because there seems to be a concentrated core of fruit lurking underneath. It has drying tannins, dampened freshness and an oaky finish. 17,275 cases produced.
