Hatozaki Small Batch Pure Malt Japanese Whisky 700ml

Hatozaki Small Batch Pure Malt is a 100% malt whisky from the Kaikyō Distillery range. It combines 5–6-year-old single malts and is produced in small batches of fewer than 20 casks. Maturation includes ex-Bourbon, ex-Sherry and Japanese Mizunara oak casks. It is bottled at 46% ABV without added colouring or chill filtration.

Food Pairing: Pairs especially well with Japanese rice crackers (senbei), as well as grilled seafood, smoked salmon, roasted nuts and mild cheeses.

Tasting Notes: Round and generous, with sweet malted cereals, dried fruit, gentle smoke and honey.

Nose: Sweet malt, dried fruit, honey, cereal and subtle aromatic wood notes.

Palate: Rich malt and toasted cereal with dried fruit, honey and gentle spice.

Finish: Light smoke and aromatic honey with lingering malt and dried-fruit character.

Serve: Best enjoyed neat or over ice.
