About the E. Guigal Cote Rotie La Turque
E. Guigal "La Turque" is the rarest of the legendary "La-La" trio, sourced from a tiny one-hectare parcel on the iron-rich, schistous soils of the Côte Brune. Often described as the bridge between the floral elegance of La Mouline and the massive power of La Landonne, it offers an exotic and highly concentrated aromatic profile. The bouquet is defined by intense notes of blackberry, maraschino cherry, and roasted coffee, interwoven with complex layers of black truffle, oriental spices, and smoky bacon fat. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and seamless, featuring silky yet dense tannins and a vibrant acidity. Aged for 40 months in 100% new French oak, it is a monumental wine known for its extraordinary depth and a finish that lingers for minutes.
