Marchesi Antinori Tenuta Guado Al Tasso Cont' Ugo 2021 is a rich, expressive, and deeply structured pure Merlot red wine crafted at the iconic Guado al Tasso estate in Bolgheri. Sourced from clay-loam soils of alluvial origin at the foot of the Bolgheri amphitheater, it undergoes controlled fermentation in stainless steel before aging for approximately 12 months in French oak barriques followed by bottle refinement. In the glass, it displays an intense ruby-red color with vibrant violet reflections. The nose opens with compelling aromas of ripe Marasca cherries, plum preserves, and wild berries, alongside hints of Mediterranean scrub, sweet baking spices, and dark chocolate. On the palate, it is full-bodied, smooth, and supple, framing concentrated dark stone fruit with velvety, fine-grained tannins and lively acidity that leads to a long, persistent, and fruity finish.
