95 Points - Wine Spectator

Absolutely captivating aromas of flowers, currants and citrus leap from the glass. Full-bodied yet remarkably refined, the wine is built around a beautifully focused core of crushed raspberry fruit that lingers effortlessly through the exceptionally long finish. Described as the greatest wine from this estate since the legendary 1945 vintage.

94 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

A superb performance from Château Gruaud Larose, rivaled only by the estate's outstanding 2009. This pure, full-bodied Saint-Julien reveals layers of new saddle leather, cedar, black currants, cherries, licorice and classic Provençal herbs. Rich, spicy and earthy, it has reached its plateau of maturity, where it should continue to drink beautifully for another 20 years or more.
