About the Grant's 8 Year Old Sherry Cask
We don’t just mature Grant’s in one cask. Our Sherry Cask Finish spends 8 years ageing in oak barrels, followed by a further maturation period in Oloroso Sherry casks handpicked from Spain by our Master Blender. This is what gives our 8yo Sherry Cask a smooth, rich and fruity taste.
TASTING NOTES
NOSE
A balance of green apple, blossom and a soft vanilla oakiness enveloped in a gentle sherry spiciness
TASTE
An immediate oaky vanilla sweetness is counterbalanced with rich malty notes. A few drops of water bring out Grant's 8 Year Old deep, dried fruits and subtle woody spices
FINISH
Sweet with a hint of woody spice
