About the Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge Liqueur
Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge is a world-renowned French orange liqueur created in 1880 by Louis-Alexandre Marnier Lapostolle. It is a sophisticated blend featuring 51% fine French Cognac and 49% distilled essence of exotic, Caribbean-grown bitter oranges (Citrus bigaradia). Characterized by its bright topaz colour with gold and amber tints, the liqueur offers complex aromas of candied orange zest and vanilla. On the palate, the full-bodied cognac base provides notes of hazelnuts and toffee, balanced by the intensity of bitter orange, leading to a long and harmonious finish. It remains a versatile staple for both neat sipping and as an essential ingredient in classic cocktails like the Sidecar, Margarita, and French 75.
