About the GrainHenge Meeting Creek No. 3 Single Malt Whisky
GrainHenge Meeting Creek No. 3 is a small-batch Canadian single malt produced by Troubled Monk in Red Deer, Alberta. Inspired by the malt character of the brewery’s Open Road American Brown Ale, it combines five malt varieties and maturation across new American oak and ex-Bourbon casks.
Food Pairing:Pairs well with smoked brisket, grilled steak, roasted nuts, aged cheddar, coffee desserts and dark chocolate.
Tasting Notes:A rich, roasted and malt-forward whisky combining chocolate, caramel, nuts, fruit and oak.
Nose:Nutty chocolate, caramel and vanilla with dried fruit and cedar.
Palate:Vanilla and barrel notes followed by fruity and nutty malt character.
Finish:Roasted malt, chocolate and coffee with lingering oak and warming spice.
Serve:Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water.
