This specific block in the Geyserville district is known for its gravelly benchland soils, which produce small, intensely concentrated berries. This 2019 vintage spent an additional 12 months in 100% new, high-quality French oak compared to the standard Yeoman bottling, resulting in a more profound and structured profile.
On the nose, it offers an opulent and multi-layered bouquet of cassis, black cherry, and crushed violets, seamlessly integrated with notes of espresso, cigar box, and graphite. The palate is full-bodied and powerful, yet remarkably refined, showcasing a dense core of black fruit supported by architecturally firm tannins and a vibrant acidity. The finish is exceptionally long and persistent, leaving a sophisticated trail of dark chocolate, cedar, and savory spice.
