Godawan Series 02 Fruit & Spice is an artisanal Indian single malt crafted at the Alwar distillery in Rajasthan, utilizing locally grown six-row barley and the region’s intense desert heat to accelerate maturation. This expression is uniquely finished in cherry wood casks that have been seasoned with traditional Indian botanicals, Rasna and Jatamansi, resulting in a complex, herbal-tinted profile. On the nose, it offers vibrant notes of dried mango, orange liqueur, and toffee, while the palate delivers a lush mix of dark cherry, apple, and warming spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. Bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtration, it concludes with a crisp, dry finish of cocoa and oak, making it a standout example of modern Indian whisky craftsmanship.
