From a re-charred hogshead comes this heavily peated Glenturret, bottled at 55% after a fair few degrees of reduction. The result? A monstrously smoky, tarry, lard-laden beast of a dram that doesn’t so much whisper peat as roar it from the rooftops.
This is whisky for those who appreciate the darker arts: think hot pitch, smouldering roads, and bonfires that refuse to die down. Balanced enough to drink, but still gloriously over the top.
