Glenmorangie The Vindima 16 Year Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Glenmorangie The Vindima 16 Year Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is an elegant travel retail expression inspired by Madeira's vibrant grape harvest festival, known as Vindima. Aged for 16 years, this distinctive single malt brings together whisky matured in bourbon casks and whisky finished in Malmsey Madeira wine casks, the sweetest style of Madeira. The result is a beautifully layered Highland whisky combining rich orchard fruits, honeyed sweetness, aromatic florals and warming spices. Bottled at 43% ABV, The Vindima offers a luscious, syrupy texture and a sophisticated balance of candied citrus, chocolate and wine-influenced richness.

Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with orange-infused dark chocolate, almond biscotti, crème brûlée, roasted hazelnuts, caramelized pears and fruit tarts. Its rich Madeira-influenced sweetness also complements aged cheeses, roasted poultry and desserts featuring dried fruits or cinnamon.

Tasting Notes: A rich, fruit-forward Highland single malt showcasing candied orange peel, baked peaches, plump sultanas and creamy milk chocolate. Layers of golden honey, aromatic florals, toasted hazelnuts and warming cinnamon create a beautifully balanced whisky with an elegant Madeira wine influence.

Nose: Rich, mellow aromas of baked peaches, ripe oranges, cocoa powder and creamy vanilla mingle with fragrant honeysuckle, jasmine and carnation. A touch of water reveals a delicate hint of fresh mandarin orange.

Palate: Lusciously textured and syrupy, revealing candied orange peel, juicy sultanas and milk chocolate truffles. Hints of aniseed, cinnamon, sweet chilli and clove develop alongside toasted hazelnuts and subtle aromatic woodsmoke.

Finish: Long and satisfying, with lingering grape-like sweetness and elegant wine-influenced notes reminiscent of Malmsey Madeira.
