Glenmorangie Bacalta Private Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a limited-edition Highland expression released in 2017 as the eighth instalment of Glenmorangie's acclaimed Private Edition series. Meaning "baked" in Scots Gaelic, Bacalta celebrates the rich sweetness of Madeira wine cask maturation. Initially matured in ex-bourbon barrels, the whisky undergoes additional maturation in specially crafted American oak casks seasoned with sweet Malmsey Madeira wine and exposed to the warmth of the Madeira sun. Bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration, this exceptional single malt offers a luxurious combination of baked fruits, golden honey, creamy toffee and delicate oak spice.

Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with apricot tart, caramelized pear desserts, almond biscotti, crème brûlée, white chocolate and aged cheeses. Its honeyed fruit character also complements roasted nuts, fruit pastries and lightly spiced poultry.
