Glenmorangie 18 Year Old

Glenmorangie 18 Year Old, known as the "Extremely Rare," is a silky and complex Highland single malt that showcases the distillery's mastery of wood finishing. It is initially matured for fifteen years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks. At that point, approximately 30% of the spirit is transferred into Spanish Oloroso sherry casks for a further three years of aging, while the remainder continues to mature in bourbon wood. Once both elements reach eighteen years, they are married back together to create a whisky of exceptional richness. On the nose, it offers an opulent bouquet of dried fruits, honey, and floral jasmine. The palate is full-bodied and rounded, featuring flavours of grapefruit, dates, and toasted nuts, leading to a long, enticing finish of dried apricot and subtle nuttiness.
